Fallen by Lauren Kate

Hardcover: 468 Pages

Publisher: Delacorte Books for Young Readers

ISBN: 978-0-385-73893-4

My rating: 5/5

There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at Sword & Cross boarding school in Savannah. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are screwups, and security cameras watch every move.
Except Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce-he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can't let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret....even if it kills her.
Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, FALLEN is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.

I was bored with about the first few words of this book and then, I was hooked! What an incredible story. I literally could not put this book down. When I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it. When I wasn't thinking about it, I was reading it. 'Fallen' by Lauren Kate is an amazing novel! There is something going on in every chapter, every couple of pages. It's incredible.

The story is told from Luce Price's point of view. She is forced into reform school after an accident with her now boyfriend. she sticks it out at Sword & Cross and endures the onslaught of attacks. Both verbal and physical. Getting into a fight her first day and meeting a self proclaimed psycho in her first five minutes. She attracts the eye of a few different guys but is particularly drawn to one; even though he goes out of his way to be mean to her. On top of that, she is threatened by one of the meanest girls in the school to stay away from him, which is what (I think) intrigued her even more!

I don't know what to say about Fallen other then, INCREDIBLE! This is an absolute must read! I am so excited to go out and pick up Torment by Lauren Kate, the second part in the Fallen series. Everyone NEEDS to pick up this book and read it. I swear, you will not be disappointed!
