Book Hop & Follow My Blog

Book Blogger Hop
Book Blogger Hop is hosted at http://www.crazy-for-books.com/ so make sure you swing by and check it out!

This weeks question is:
"What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?"

For me, this is an exceedingly difficult question to answer! I love to be able to relate to the characters in and a book and I think it's crucial to have excellent character development. You need to really know who you're reading about and why. If I read a book about some unknown person, the whole time I'd be wondering who the person is and eventually stop reading. But, what's a story without a good plot? So, for me, it's both! I love character development, but no one wants to read a story that doesn't have a good plot!

This weeks question:
"What did you study in college, or are currently studying and did it lead to your current 9 to 5 or are you doing something totally different?"

I am not in College yet so I can't really answer this question. Although I will say that I've been applying to Colleges in NY where I live for Nursing because I want to be a Nurse. So, when I'm in school or done, I can better answer this question!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Reading! : )

  1. I prefer a story with both, but a good storyline will get me through characters I don't like! I'm a new follower. I love your background! My hop is at Coffee Table Press

  2. Thanks Aimee! Now that I think about it, a really good storyline could get me through some bad characters! But I love being able to connect with the characters on some level. I love the whole experience really haha. : )

  3. Just popping in via the hop to say hi! I found the question quite difficult as well but characters win out for me, I have to be involved with them:) It's fun to read everyone's answers though, everyone is making a great case for their preference! Seems like we have similar taste in books based on your archive, so I'm glad to be a new follower here! Have a great weekend:)

Everyone does make very valid points and it's interesting to compare peoples answers! It could almost be an intense debate lol.

  5. Hey Jenny , New follower here. I am so stuck with this question but last few answers I have said both though characters that grab me from the beginning has made me stick with a book longer when the plot has lagged.
